About East India
Eastern part of india, is a region of India comprised of the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa. These states lies between Northern and North-Eastern part of India.
Majority of the land of eastern india lies on the east coast of India by the Indo-Gangetic plain and the Bay of Bengal. Jharkhand, one of the recently formed state of india is located on the Chota Nagpur plateau has got abundant mineral resources. The region is bordered by the Nepal, the state of Sikkim and Himalayas in the north, the states of Uttar Pradesh and Chattisgarh to the western bourndary, Andhra Pradesh state in the south and the sea Bay of Bengal in the east .
Now a days these states are facing the issues of overpopulation, environmental degradation even after the socio economic progress in the country.
West Bengal
 West Bengal is one of the most diverse and in its culture and ethnicity which makes it unique. Different ethnicity, religion, languages and culture adds to this rich landscape and this creates the sense of unity among the people. The City of kolkata which is the capital of west bengal was founded more than 250 years ago. The city was once the capital of British India, the capital of undivided Bengal. Kolkata is the gateway to Eastern India. A city with a rich heritage, bustling streets and
bewildering variety of facets. From October to March, Kolkata wears a radiant look. Sunshine, mild winter, lights, colours, fairs, festivals, galas and excursions, the mood is infectious and spirit sweeping.
Bihar
 Bihar is located on the northern part of India and it is the most enchanting land of Buddha. Bihar has got a golrious past of Buddhist, that dates back to more than thousand years. Bihar is a land of culture and traditions also famous as a Buddhist pilgrimage center, housing sacred temples, Buddhist monasteries, monuments and world renowned Madhubain paintings in India.
Jharkhand
 Jharkhand shares its border with Bihar in the north, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the west, Orissa in the south and West Bengal in the east. There are 18 districts in Jharkhand. The industrial city of Ranchi is the capital of Jharkhand. The other major cities in Jharkhand are Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Giridih, Palamu, Dhanbad, Sahibganj and Hazaribagh. The area of Jharkhand is mainly inhabited by tribes. Jharkhand is located on the Chhota Nagpur Plateau and Santhal Parganas and has evergreen forests, rolling hills and rocky plateaus with many places of keen beauty. Jharkhand can be visited throughout the year as the weather is cool in most of the parts of the state.
Orissa
 Orissa has got a great and ancient history which is spanning a period of more than 1800 years. In its earlier days it was the kingdom of Kalinga. For several centuries, a substantial part of Southeast Asia, such as Kampuchea (Cambodia), Java, Sumatra, Bali and Thailand were colonies of Orissa. The temple of Angkor Wat is a fine example of Orissan architecture, with some local variations. Bali still retains its Hindu Orissan heritage.
