Palace on Wheels
One of the ten best trains in the world, the Palace on Wheels takes tourists to explore the splendour of royal Rajputs in the state of Rajasthan for seven nights and eight days. The luxury train has 14 coaches named after the former Rajput states - Kota, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Alwar, Sirohi, Kishangarh, Bundi, Dungarpur, Bharatpur, Dholpur and Jhalawar. Initially, the cars used in trains were behind those used by the royal families of Rajasthan. The advantage of the replacement is that the new coaches not only regarded as the original but which could also accommodate the latest technology gadgets. Accordingly, tourists come to enjoy all the splendor of the past combined with modern technological advances. |

Rail tours are offered by many travel agents in different countries but this one is really unique. I am simply speech less to tell the readers more about this tour which is jointly offered by indian railways and the government of maharashtra.
During the 8 day stay, the Deccan Odyssey train traverses through Maharashtra, the grandeur of Konkan coast to experience the art, culture and heritage of Maharashtra. The Deccan Odyssey is about 80 passengers on a tour of Goa and parts of northwestern state of Maharashtra. The Deccan Odyssey is an attempt to show the best of culture and heritage of Maharashtra and Goa, while enjoying it in a royal way. |
