| Traditional Ayurveidc texts recommends monsoon as the best season to undergo rejuvenation treatments and other ayurvedic therapies. The reason is because the atmosphere remains dust-free and cool. As a result of this cool atmosphere pores of the body will be opened to the maximum, helping it for the deep absorbption of herbal oils. Mostly monsoon falls in the month of karkidakom, which is the last month of malayalam calender. |

hi keralatraveller,
I have read your post on monsoon ayurvedic treatments. You mentioned that monsoon is the best time for ayurvedic treatment as the atmostphere will be cool. Then what about winter season. At that time also atmosphere will be cooler when compared to monsoon season. Dont you think like that? |

Ayurveda is effective in all the season. You can undergo ayurvedic atment at any point of time. In kerala people consider monsoon as the best time of ayurvedic treatments. There are some social and environmental factors associated with it. Ayurveda during monsoon has become much relevant because people will be getting more spare time time in the raining season. This statement is with regard to the people who has been practising agriculture in kerala. During monsoon season people wont be able to go to the fields it is resting time for them. Due to this reason people undergo ayurvedic treatments before getting into another year for work.
